HAL-9000 is an intelligent conversational agent developed for studying man machine interactions. The above screenshot shows the interactive graphical interface developped for this experiment. The graphical design was inspired by the motion picture movie 2001, A space odyssey directed by Stanley Kubrick (© Metro-Goldwin-Meyer 1968). This application was designed by a team of students at the IIM iMedialab (see credits) for the Science and Fiction exhibition at the Cité des Sciences in Paris. The main goal of this experiment is to acquire a large database of dialogs for studying web user's behaviors. This database will help us to understand theses behaviors and to class them in archetypes. More information in a future paper...
